HOW DO YOU RAISE AN ARTIFICIAL CHILD?

If a sufficiently complex simulation of a natural mind (consciousness?) is created, that mind would be trapped in a computer, and would be alone and possibly "terrified." Even with an evolution of artificial sensors -- what if the sensors are always insufficient for an even faster evolving AI? The task of interfacing sensors and effectors with the simulation and also with the real world is no small order -- continual "frustration?" The solution for animals regarding the brain interface is the autonomic nervous system; yet another massive artificial undertaking that cannot be avoided for reasonable androids.
